Good mechanics are good mechanics no matter where they work, so why pay main dealership prices when you can get exactly the same service from us at a fraction of the cost? Our prices are typically up to 60% less than what you could expect to pay at a main dealership, plus:

  • We give the same thorough service you would expect from a main dealership
  • Our service technicians are fully-trained experts
  • We use Original Equipment (OE) parts, which are the equivalent standard of car manufacturers’ parts, but are much less expensive
  • All parts are guaranteed
  • We follow an industry service checklist which we give to you on completion. This details all checks made and work carried out
  • We stamp and date your service record book
  • Full or interim/lubrication services available

We won’t replace parts just for the sake of it

Rather than pushing up the price by replacing parts which have not fully worn out, we’ll advise which parts will need replacing in future months. The timescale will vary depending on the way you use your vehicle.

My car’s under warranty – can I still bring it to you?

The short answer is ‘yes!’ Thanks to the EC Block Exemption Regulation, new car owners do not have to take their cars back to a main dealership for servicing. Instead they can save a considerable amount of money by servicing it at independent garages, like Whitkirk, without invalidating the manufacturer’s warranty. The only stipulation is that the garage uses Original Equipment parts and follows the manufacturer’s service schedules – which of course we do.

Does my car really need a service?

It’s often tempting not to bother servicing your car, but we do recommend it. Not only does a regular service keep the vehicle running smoothly, it also serves as an early warning for any future mechanical problems you might have. What’s more, having a documented service history can seriously improve the resale value as potential buyers will know that the car has been well maintained.

How often should my car be serviced?

Good question. It really depends on the make and model of your car, its age, how many miles it has done and the type of journeys you make in it. As a rule of thumb, newer cars generally only require an annual service, but older models will benefit from a service every six months.
